OK, I've never visited Sosua; but by reputation it's ground zero for "pay for play" (i.e. prostitution). Is Punta Cana following in the same steps?
Certainly, "the world's oldest profession" is nothing new to P.C. in the evenings at the bars and clubs, but I noticed a new trend during my visit in June and again last week. Maybe in the past I was oblivious, but I had never noticed overt "working girls" trolling for trouser trout on the beach before. In June, I had seen a few "vendors" plying their wares strolling the beach, and chalked it up as an anomaly. Last week and the week before, I saw a couple of "business negotiations" in progress, (but obviously no actual "transactions"). In one case the negotiations included one of the young women aggressively and enthusiastically physically testing the guy's equipment by hand, under the observation of her "management consultant", (i.e. pimp). Ironically I recognized the "consultant" as one of the many excursion vendors ... this takes the meaning of "excursion" to a whole new level. LOL
So... is this something new??? OR, have I been so busy looking at the natural beauties of the beach (sun, surf, beach), that I have missed what was going on around me?
