Parking in Zona Colonial?

I swear that I searched through the forum and to my surprise I couldn't find an answer to this question:

Where can I park in Zona Colonial?

We'll be there for two nights, midweek next week, in a hotel close to the Catedral. ( I presume that the hotel can provide parking for a price, but I'd like to see if there are other options.)

I parked on the street near the Cathedral. Came out of my hotel in the morning to find the luggage rack and antennae stolen from my car. Was then told by the cops on the street that I should see this old man who was about a block away. I saw him. He told me that he is the one who watches the cars in the area. I told him to watch mine. If there was no further problems, he would be paid upon my departure. And, of course, there were no further problems.

Guess that is just the way it works.

(There are some parking garages next to the big hotels.)
