Jet Blue - JFK/Samana - It's Started

I think I heard today on approach.

I did hear it on Wednesday.... we never hear any planes and this was a big one around 1pm...... I was washing the car.

They must approach from the west, over Cabrera.

So what's the reason to have an airport if you don't hear the planes?

Gosh, people. I really hope they are here to stay since it would be convenient flying from NY to Las Terrenas without driving the long slog from Santo Domingo and back.
However, I have a feeling it might be short lived.
Without the 5 Star Hotels, without a golf course, horrible roads, and other items most Americans expect/desire in a top vacation destination,:hurt: I wonder.
We love the Samana area of the country because of its natural beauty and wonderful people but we might be in the minority.
I hope I am wrong and Jet Blu finds enough riders in the future to keep the flights coming and going.
