I have been in Las Terrenas for the Winter months for the last few years. New Years Eve is a festive atmosphere with many tourists, ex-pats and locals partying into the wee hours. In the past the Fisherman's Village bars and restaurants was always very busy with people out in the streets and bars. With the new strip of restaurants I would imagine it will still be crazy. Gaia and La Bodega Discos are usually packed with people. There are many Dominicans, from Santo Domingo, in town between Christmas and New Years. Next to Easter week it is probably the busiest week of the year.
