Hi all,

for treatment to get rid of a large cyst in lower jar a Maxillofacial Surgeon / Dentist is needed who can perform a

Marsupialization instead of immediate Enucleation.

Anybody?

Thanks

I lot of discomfort to say the least. There is a lot of techniques including a drainage appliance being installed for lasting results, For such complex (not every day treatment in the D.R) I would go to Miami if you are able.
Good luck

You may want to have a look here, it shows you it is exactly the other way around...

Maxilofacial e Implantes Dentales
C/ Antera Mota No. 83
Puerto Plata ,Rep Dom.
809-998-7708 is the office phone number

She did all my implants and people only laugh when i turn my back. Just kidding,,, She does great work and the her partner there is a Marine
You don't need to go to Miami or the US to get better health care. Many doctors here trained in US and some I know personally worked there for 20 years of more and came home.

she speaks fairly good english also so there is no problem

Yes, I know there are many trained in the US and that I wouldn't need to go to Miami or such :) (I would have gone to Germany since an uncle of mine is a Dentist, lol)

Problem is, I used to live in POP but I am living now since a couple years in Punta Cana... so POP is a little off...

Thank you anyways, I appreciate your input!

But you can do me a favor: I can't find nowhere the Spanish medical term for "Marsupialisation" Could you ask your daughter and let me know, since my Dentista here doesn't speak English... :( and in Google I could only find "abrir un quiste" which I know myself, but there must be a term for it since it involves a certain procedure...

Thanks

I had this one already in mind but I was not sure if they do that since they are more into "a new smile" and such ;)
I will give them a call tomorrow.

The thing is he might be the same my Dentist had looking at my X-ray. I will find out tomorrow. ( I am actually looking for a 2nd opinion since the one who saw my X-ray jumped without hesitating to the conclusion that only surgery will solve it without having a consultation with me and without a biopsy beforehand which left me somehow reluctant to use this one...so hopefully it is not the same...)

Thank you very much! :)

If you're in Punta Cana, you should speak to Robert's specialist Dr. Miguel Asenjo, who works in his clinic in Punta Cana Village part of the week.

@Chiri

Do you know the Spanish medical term for this kind of treatment? I can't find anything besides "abrir un quiste" etc....

Marsupializaci?n quir?rgica:

I have a better idea. Go to Boca Chica or even Port-au-Prince and get it done for 30 dollars U.S

better yet do nothing if money is the most important thing. i paid 50.00 to a phillipino doctor once to stitch up a busted lip. then spent $475 to have a good doctor fix the damage. not smart to go cheap.
