Our neighbor who stays yearround says they just quit swimming because the water gets a little chilled. I use a heater in the usa but for only looking for a 10 degree ferinheight a solar blanket is a great product. Our pool was already getting cool inDR in early nov. We like to go out eat have a few drinks comeback have a few more drinks and jump in the warm pool. When your there all the time you may get lazy and eat watch tv and go to bed,that is easy todo at my home in USA but in DR I dont want to get in the same rutt. I might as well just turn up the thermostat and hybernate.
