Thank you first for all the answers on my other post!

When I arrive at Santo Domingo by airplane, I will need a taxi from there to the Zona Colonial. What is the best way to obtain a taxi at the airport and how can I be sure it is a legitimate taxi driver from a real company?

just walk out the door, there is a very obvious taxi rank, it is legit, non legit drivers can not operate out of arrivals.

Thanks! How much should it cost in US dollars? Would I agree on the price with a dispatcher there or with the driver himself?

There will be a tariff, ask, probably will tell you RD1600 for the city centre, tell them RD300 lower than they quote if you like to get a deal. RD1300 is about right these days I reckon.
