It's a good thing I am not a Republican. Nor am I a Democrat. Don't like either of them much right now.

In answer to number 13: According to the Canadian Medical Association guidelines on abortion, abortion can be performed on demand in Canada up until 22 weeks (but finding a medical institution that will do this is another issue altogether). It can be performed up until 24 weeks for genetic abnormalities, desperate social circumstances, and the protection of maternal health. After 24 weeks, the genetic abnormality must be lethal.[1] This means that getting an abortion during the third trimester in Canada requires a person to present a very compelling argument to a medical practitioner. In fact, in 2005, only 0.4% of all Canadian abortions were performed after the twenty week mark.

I cannot see how anyone can argue against strict background checks for gun owners. As for other limitations on firearms, it is almost impossible to get those passed at a federal level. States will pass their own laws and be subject to federal court reviews.

I don't believe most supporters of the 2nd amendment are against background checks , including the NRA. some of the pictures frank posted are humorous but take poetic license with the truth.

Well the question is, how will these be implemented? If you have a DUI, does that disqualify you? If you ever had a restraining order against you? If you see a Psychiatrist? If you have been arrested before, but not convicted? Only convictions, what if its just a misdemeanor? Felonies only? Its not so easy as it sounds on the surface.

It's not the background checks. The banners want to keep the results of background checks archived with Fed access creating a virtual gun registration.

You have to know where guns are before you confiscate them.

Gun confiscation is the ultimate goal of the Left, make no mistake about that. Their current position is just classic incrementalism.

Obama swore he was not coming for guns. Instead he ordered two billion rounds of ammo so the stores cant get any. Magazine mfg companies are being pressured

Those of you who think the govt is a benevolent friend should stop doing drugs and read about slavery, the Native Americans, and find out how trusting the Govt worked out for them.

The Second Amendment is not about duck hunting. Its about fighting politicians when they trample liberty.
Read a fu##ing book you hippies LOL

AND......if you dont think the gov. is afraid of your "little gun" when dorner went rouge a few month back, there were 50 000 heavily armed agents "scared beyond reason" armed with fully auto military rifles firing hundreds of rounds @ old mexican ladies.
I know, i live in california there was a state of war. The police suspended all non emergency calls, to them means only calls that dealt with dorner were handled. Good thing i had my many toys, they have not failed me yet, they are reliable and when you need it...they dont say.....sorry only emergency calls today...and of course my emergency is not theirs.
