PJT is looking for a good plumber. His regular plumber is captive to a long job and is unavailable. His number two no longer answers the phone.

PJT needs an experienced well outfitted plumber, not the type with PVC cement and hacksaw blade as his only tools of the trade. Problem is a trickle (slow drops) leak under 2nd fl bath floor filtering to 1st floor bath ceiling. Would like plumber with equipment to source exact location of leak without tearing up entire tile floor. You know, leak is here but water travels there.

Regards,

PJT

Doesn't sound like an easy fix to me. If the leak is from second floor bathroom, the pipes are all embedded in concrete and therefore not so easy to see exactally where the water is coming from. Best would be to isolate each system. Shut off hot water and wait to see if there is a leak....no leak then try the cold water....no leak try the drains.....or try demolition

Problem resolved.

Just so you know, without the help of a plumber and then doing some Sherlock Holmes work the source of the leak was found to be from where the flat roof of the side entryway adjoins the house at midfloor level. The wind blown rain water over time was filtering through the house side and finding its way to the bath ceiling. The cure was painting some Lanco waterproof sealant where the roof meets the house side. Problem resolved.
