Meeting my girlfriends mother in DR. Gift ideas?

To be clear she's not actually my girlfriend, she's my ex. But we're still friends and her family heard I was here in DR visiting and invited me over.

My ex is in the states and this would be the first time I met her mother so I'd like to make a good first impression. I'd love some ideas of things I can buy here in DR to bring as a gift.

If you can get to Blue Mall, there is a French store which has all sorts of wonderful perfumes and stuff. amazing. about 2000 pesos for a bottle.

fresh flowers with a great vase.. that you can buy at lots of places

also you could get a nice plant

or even go with some imported food from Nacional

guess it depends on their economic circumstances

but that lavender perfume that i got is amazing!

Supposedly she's an ex girlfriend.I don't know about that, it seems he's going out of his way to impress her mother.

Get her a nice bag! It`s something that all women use or like regardless of age, and you don`t need to know her size!

I'm not so sure about the perfume.
A lot of people are very particular about their scent or lack thereof.
