My parents are actually from the DR, and they both currently live in Santiago after spending a few decades in the US, New York and then Pennsylvania, raising us kids. Once we left the house, they moved back to be with family, and of course the nicer weather. They moved to the US to give us a better life, was their main goal, and can never thank them enough for myself and my siblings all took advantage of are very fortunate to have the things we have.
Trying to get back to my roots as been in the military for many years, having lived abroad, picked up a couple languages, but lost some Spanish. Want to learn more of the country as I only visited, although many many times, still need to learn more and want to pass on the wonders of this country to my kids.
