I am planning a trip in September and here is what I am planning to do. I want to fly into Puna Cana stay a few days at a resort then if possible take a bus to the LA Romana area and stay a few days there. After LA Romana, i'd like to head up to Puerto Plata for the remainder of my vacation and fly home from there. Now I heard you need to get from LA Romana to Santo Domingo in order to get the Metro bus into POP.
I just want to see if this can be done or not? I am going to be spending about 12 days or more so I will definatley have the time to do this. I just want to make sure this will be a safe adventure. I am going to have one small carry on with me so people will know I am a tourist. Plus my I don't speak fluent spanish, but I do know enough to get by.
