During coming week, students across the country will take the exams that determine if they can go on to high school and college/university. A piece in today's Sosua News speaks of Sosua students:

[h=5]Between Tuesday, June 18 and Friday, June 21 341.424 students from the highest grades of the primary and high school will finish the education with a national exam. The results of these tests determine whether a student can go to a high school or university. The students of the schools in Sos?a including Gregorio Luper?n, Colegio Luis Hess and the International School also do the exams. The exams are compiled by the Ministry of Education and are under the direct control of the Ministry. This way the government wants to ensure that the examinations are of an equal level in the entire country. In Sos?a there is also an annual competition on the results obtained in mathematics between the schools.[/h]
[h=5]Usually, the students of the Colegio Luis Hess win this contest, although the students of the International School also always score well in mathematics.[/h]
