Does anyone have any info they would be prepared to share regarding Legality, potential Locations and any other useful info on Gold panning and/or mini-dredging here in the Dom Rep?
Really, any info or advice would be great, of course this is ONLY intended for fun and NOT for commercial interest. (leave that to Barrick and the big boys :)

It all legal until you find some gold...then it belongs to the state. :cheeky:

On a more serious note, I remember a couple of threads about this topic. Do a search and you should find them.

Already tried searching but it doesn't seem to work - brings up every article rather than seeming to actually search for the keyword - am i doing something wrong? Try search for "Gold"...

Are you talking about backpack dredging or setting up camp with water pumps, etc? Anything larger then what can fit into a backpack could give you headaches unless you own the property.

Hiking with a pan or small backpack dredge will (usually) not get you much attention. And if you can find someone to ask, it's always good to ask permission to hike on their property.
