The Dominican Winter Professional Baseball Season starts on 18 October with games between the Tigres del Licey and the Leones del Escogido at the Quisqueya Ball Park in Santo Domingo at 7:30pm.
Last week, the six teams have begun to announce the start of training to prepare the players for the October through December regular season games. The teams are Gigantes del Cibao (San Francisco de Macoris), Tigres del Licey and Leones del Escogido (Santo Domingo), Toros del Este (La Romana) and Estrellas Orientales (San Pedro de Macoris)
