Our foundation, Futuro Lleno de Esperanza, opened a new pre-school this year. There are 40 Haitian children studying at the school. The goal of the school is to prepare the students in SPANISH, give them the skills they need for elementary school. Right now, they are in a pretty simple, wooden building that also serves as a church and adult classroom (english classes, spanish classes, bible studies, etc...) with little resources (there's light, but water is sporadic). By the end of the school year, they will have a proper school building with 3 classrooms and a library.

Through a grant from World Vision, the students receive snack once a week. The rest of the days, the students bring their own snack --- sometimes. The coordinator is looking to raise money to help get more nutritious snacks in the students' bellies. Please consider helping her!

PuertaPlata Princess - we're based in Santiago, with a few preschools in the surrounding area. Proper grade school in Cienfuegos, Santiago, serving 120 Dominican children (just the demographic of the area); 5 preschools (3-5 years old with an average of 45 students) one in Licey, Batey Amina, Batey Uno, Los Girasoles (Santiago) and one in a small town outside of Mao.
