The cultural center of Sos?a (Casa de Arte), if all goes as planned now, will be opened Wednesday November 6 by Mayor Ilana Neumann. It will be the second time the cultural center is officially opened. The first time was on August 12, 2012. Then the building fell into disuse and disrepair. But now the cultural center gets a second chance and now a much more serious one.
Under the leadership of the Director Adolfo Faringthon currently the last repairs and cleanings are performed. During the opening 15 artists from Sos?a have the opportunity to show their work to the public. Among them are Teddy Tejeda and Adolfo Faringthon to show their paintings. In front of the cultural center a stage will be built. Notables of Sos?a, including the mayor and the director, will be there to give some speeches. Finally, everyone is invited to enter the cultural center and admire the exhibition. In the near future, as Adolfo told us, the Casa de Arte will be regularly used for art exhibitions (mainly of artists from Sos?a and immediate surroundings). Furthermore, there will be music, poetry and recitation evenings. There will also be ballet, music (violin), painter and sculpture lessons at which young people and adults can take part.
