On a recent visit to the casino (Matum) I stopped into the new nightclub (Pure). I had won some cash so I was tipping generously with my drinks.
I started feeling and acting strange and called my driver to pick me up. I basically passed out (luckily after my driver picked me up).
I am 99.9% sure a bartender put something in my drink ( I was only drinking wine)....yes I am very hot looking but that's beside the point ;) That is the last time I'm tipping when I win.

I would say that drinking when you win would be the crucial part of your problem.

Why should it make sense to TIP the house when you finally beat the house? All the odds are in the favor of the house, and when the house wins, it sure as Hell will not tip you!

Take the money and RUN!

We have a say in DR; El que ense?a pierde, pues le cogen prestado... Show your money to people and they will ask for a loan from you.

I've done that my self, just to heart someone else's feeling!

In Vegas, everybody's gotta watch everybody else. Since the players are looking to beat the casino, the dealers are watching the players. The box men are watching the dealers. The floor men are watching the box men. The pit bosses are watching the floor men. The shift bosses are watching the pit bosses. The casino manager is watching the shift bosses. I'm watching the casino manager. And the eye-in-the-sky is watching us all. " Ace Rothstein"

You said a whole lot of nothing. How do you think it is hysterical? Real funny that someone is drugged by a bartender, or do you find it funny if an American is drugged? Either way you come off as an a** based on your statement.

The OP told this story to help other people out and he gets called stupid? I ALWAYS watch my drink since i was 16 but I wouldn't think of a bartender slipping me something!

Everyone gets carried away at some point and does something that is not the safest thing in the world!
I've done many here and know better!

Very frightening knowing anyone could have done anything and I would have been defenceless, it's happened to me and I still have no recollection of anything, getting home, going out, even the morning before. Especially worrying as I had recently seen the latest SAW movie which freaks me out sufficiently anyway.
In santo domingo it is a very common way for whores to rob clients, and even normal party goers to get what they want from women. Horrid and should carry a very tough sentence if caught and found guilty.

It is actually so common I'd like to know exactly what it is they use, becaus I am sure it can't be an over the counter drug, but seems widespread enough for cheap scumbags to enable to find it and buy it.

Yes, it is up to all of us to educate themselves. That is exactly what the OP is doing and in turn he is trying to help other people avoid the same situation. Not everyone is a super tourist like yourself and foresee everything that is going to happen to you at all times.

Instead of belittling people, why do you not add to the conversation with advice of your vast knowledge so we can all be more enlightened?

I am thinking that drinking and gambling go together about as well as smoking and TNT. There is a reason why casinos serve cheap or free drinks, and it is unrelated to their sense of compassion, charity and goodwill towards their fellow man.

Drinking and gambling in casinos go hand in hand, and those of us who have been there know this oh so well Those who would go to a casino and figure that getting drunk is a no no on the basis that it might delude your state of mind, make you make decisions you might not otherwise make. Well, if you have enough sense then you only go to a casino when you can afford to lose that money, casinos are not there for you to win, they are there for your entertainment, and no entertainment other than what goes on between the sheets is free, infact even that is often a gamble and we know we all pay for that in some form as well so.......................
People who go to casinos to win are deluded, so might as well get drunk and have a laugh.

Just a tip, if you want to use the forums as a way to promote yourself, you may want to avoid being abusive...
