"Christ's Mass", Happy Holydays or Happy new year?

Are there any controversies brewing in DR?

The constitution of many nations, prohibit "adopting' a national religion.

What DR constitution say?

Doesnt DR have an old special agreement with the Vatican?

is it just a diplomatic political agreement?

The DR, as a "Catholic" country, says "Feliz Navidad".
They are also not burdened by the "BULL$HIT",..."PC" stupidity, as are some other countries!
They say "Happy New Year" as well.
The "Church" is VERY powerful in the DR.
There is no real separation of "Church & State" here.
For better, or for worse????
You can decide THAT for yourself.
Secondly, are you just trying to get to 500 posts so you can access the "Off Topic" Forum????
Your post is really very contrived!

Christmas and New Years in the DR is a good excuse to drink and party...woops that is done most of the rest of the year here. I would hide if I were you. They are looking for a GRINGO to play the part of Jesus during the crusification. Run, Forest run.

Yes

What dr constitution say?

They agreed to be catholic, without adhering to the 10 commandments

doesn't dr have an old special agreement with the vatican?

No, the vatican tells them what to do or they'll be excommunicated.

Is it just a diplomatic political agreement?

No dominicans are not very diplomatic

I asked a serious question to be answered by posters with knowledge of the particular issue.

A good serious answer must be supported by facts which can be confirmed, in this case from official gov. documents.

So far I will ignore all posted replies.

I'm sorry. I think we all misunderstood the question. Can you please rephrase it and we'll try again :)
