The Article linked below reminded me of my mother. When she was in her eighties she was driving and came to a red light. She did what I call a Bobby Orr stop. He'd call it a deke and a dive. She looked left, tapped the brake and without really stopping turned right on the red light.
A cop saw it and pulled her over. She was a babe and a half in her day and in her eighties had a functioning brain.
Mother: "Why did you stop me?"
5-O: "You went through that red light."
M: "Didn't I stop enough?"
5: "You didn't stop at all."
He let her off with a warning
