We arrived yesterday for 3 months. Left Toronto airport in a snow and ice storm. I know DR power is frequently
out but at least it does not cause the pipes to burst or you to freeze. We are so glad to be here in Sosua where we have many friends Dominican and expat. We are avid baseball fans and would like to know if there are any playoff games coming up in Santiago.

You are right to look for games in Santiago (Estadio Cibao) that is closer to Puerto Plata. Consider about an hour's drive.
Consider overnighting in Santiago.

Or head out to Santo Domingo for an overnight and enjoy the game and tour the attractions of the city.
