Three yeas ago our third son was born, with a kidney deformation on both sides. Consequence was a reflux of urine to the kidneys what could turn out dangerous, so we had to do a test on how severe the reflux was. We went to Centro Otorrino since, according to supposedly one of the best pediatric urologists of the country it was carried out the best. Result of the test: severe reflux. Remedie: year long antibiotics and probably a corrective surgery in the future.

Two months later we were in holland and asked a urologist there to look at the results. He checked and out of professionalism didn't laugh out loud. He said, they used so much liquid for the test that the pressure in the bladder would get so high that the result would always be severe reflux. Our son is fine now by the way. We should actually repeat the test according to the doctor here. Just not sure where to go. Not saying anything here on the conditions of centro Otorrino and how they kept the des infection liquid in a used bottle of Gatorade.

The lack of attention to detail here in the DR is worrying. From equipment, etc maintenance to lack of nursing protocol and the list goes on. Best of intentions but lack of oversight and training.

No need to report, the Hospiten Bavaro from what I am told is a decent facility, why not report every incident where something goes wrong.
Every hospital has cases, no matter where it is located.
Girl brain dead after tonsils removed, it is all over the TV.
