building a house in Dr cost?

$50/sq foot and up.

That's around 186 sq metres, and the price per sq metre depends on a number of things but mainly on the quality of products you use. For example tile can be cheap Chinese crap or more expensive and better quality Spanish or Italian. As a start I would start with 186 times 20,000 pesos (per sq metre) = 3,720,000 Pesos which is equivalent to 87,000 $US dollars.
If you already have the plans, find several reputable builders and get quotes.
Where are you building? High quality is going to bring the price upwards to 28,000 to 30,000 per sq metre, so in the $ US 130,000 range or more.

Depends where your at, country side, city etc.

We expanded the house adding 860 ft2 in 2012, beginning to end, US$68.00 ft2, no corinisa or fine trim work, normal finish, build Dominican style with "un maestro"

Remember you buy the materials, if you let them buy the materials they take a cut.....that means you source, ask and pay for, and request a contractors discount.
