Dear all,
In a few weeks I will be for the first time in santo domingo!
How easy (or difficult) is it to meet gay domonican guys?
It will be my first visit, so all practical hints about places will be very welcome.
I am a very discreet men and will respect local traditions of course.
Thanks for help.

Thanks a lot. I will.
Still I would like to hear some stories from people who visited the city if possible.

Oddly, i have no friends of Dorothy here in the DR. Back in the U.S and in Europe i am surrounded by them--i work with them, hang out with them, and let them do my hair.

I do remember, however, when i first moved up to the North Coast there were a few here and there. I met a really nice couple from Columbus, Ohio here at the bar in Cabarete--they were starting some business with placing trash cans on the beach & street here in Cabarete and retrieving the trash weekly. They lived in Sosua.

Whatever happened to them? They were in their late 40's, maybe early 50's now. We knew a few of the same people back in Columbus, Ohio--The Garage.

Is that a gay thing calling a bar "the Garage"? I remember a bar in Panama also called the Garage. Had a blast there the one time I visited together with my ex wife and a gay couple. Saw half of my neighborhood there, married men they were. I was asked several times if I was also in the closet, I was happy having to disappoint them ;)

Welcome, have a great time, meet some nice guys, just please be careful.
A gay man was killed a few weeks ago by three young Dominican men in a "Cabana","Short Time Hotel".
He was a fairly wealthy Cuban who has lived here for many years.
Keep far away from "Rough Trade", and "Groups"!
I in NO WAY wish to keep you from visiting, I just want you to be careful.
There are a few "Gay Friendly Hotels" here in Santo Domingo, someone may post them here????
Now, If you want to go "Straight" some night, I can get you a nice "DominicanA" for $50 US!!!!!
And I'll keep $40!!!!!!

"Celt202",.."BUTT" the question has ALWAYS BEEN, do I "Catch" right?????:speechles:speechles:speechles:speechles:lick::lick::lick::lick::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I see plenty of overtly gay guys on the streets of Sosua. Just make eye contact!

But as with all relationships here be very careful in all ways, don't be too trusting and anticipate a financial aspect.

Ha Ha! Sometimes it's difficult NOT to make eye contact. Just say no, in that case - unless you want to, that is! :D

15 million LGBT residents in the US, and climbing. 150,000 views per month on a popular site for gay travel. One might look at the advantages rather than the snide remarks to the contrary. Wake up. It's a new day.

I actually look forward to, and want very much to see, the day when everyone is not so interested in everyone else's sexuality.
If any of my children are "GLBT" I could care less, that goes for anyone's children.
Since today there are still negative consequences from less enlightened people to the GLBT community,I know "Life" could be more difficult for people, including my children unless, and UNTIL things change.

I agree with Criss here 100%. I can't wait until the day when people stop giving a sh1t about what other people do with their lives--or as the late, great Charlie Rich so eloquently put it, what people do--"Behind closed doors." Sadly i won't live to see that day because, well, let's face, religious people will never give up trying to convert people over to their way of thinking, living, and believing. Oh well, i enjoy trying to sexually seduce Jehovah Witnesses as much as the next person. The fun is in the challenge. On top of that, i have to admit something here...I look forward to meeting Satan in person only because i truly believe that i can sexually seduce him into a three way with my ex-wife.

Anyway, in the meantime, i wish people would simply let other people live the way they want to live their lives. Two consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever they want in their home...and who knows, maybe i will be invited to watch and film it while they're doing it. Trust me, i got some good looking Russian Jehovah Witnesses living next door to me. I've been trying to talk them into a three way for as long as i can remember. Oh well, there is nothing that a few shots of tequila can't rectify.

In the meantime, i've accumulated quite a collection of cock rings that i've gotten for Christmas presents every year while working in gay nightclubs.

These cock rings must be good for something. Currently, i am using them as rings on my curtains.

"Frank", you are now my,..."Lord Of The RINGS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before "Viagra", I used a "RING" with great success, and "soreness"!
It was pink plastic, and resembled a small "Cupid" harp, with no strings.
I never knew what happened to it.
I though maybe it was ,..."Lost In SPACE"!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have it by any chance????

I have a collection of them. No joke. Come over and take your pick from my shower curtain. There must be 24 of them--all different sizes and colors. I'm partial to the brass ones myself.
