A couple of ks along a dirt road is a huge "chicken farm".
Normaly in a small town nearby, la pollera sells chicken at 50 pesos la lb every morning, that is where one would go to by chicken ( cleaned out by the way ).
Back to this huge chicken farm down the dirt road, normaly they dont sell, they export in masses, I didnt even know it was there.
Anyway today the word spread, live chicken at 100 pesos cada uno ( gringa ). Got 5 to try. They ranged from 5lb to 7 lb!!!
Hows that for a rebate!!! The guy had 35 000 chicken on his hands and needed the place for his new 20 000 chicks ( 45 days life from beginnig to end ).
Now does this tell us anything about Haiti importing dominican chicken????
P.s. My dogs were REAL happy.
P.s Of course like every campisina I breed gallina creola ( and not gringa ), but it is good to have both!!!!!
