conference room available in Puerto Plata

A group is planning a four-day weekday conference (mornings only) in the Puerto Plata area this summer.

Can anyone suggest a large room available to hire? Max 20 persons, need male/female bathrooms, a couple of large tables, and wifi. Otherwise nothing posh. Aircon desirable, otherwise ample fans and windows opening onto fresh air, not traffic fumes or dust. They have their own local gofers, transport, etc.

Alquileres John (809-586-3126) at Avenida Presidente Caama?o No. 11 has a salon for rent above their showroom. If you call, John speaks English, but his secretary does not.

The Meeting Place (Puerto Plata's International Center) is a separate building with several rooms for workshops, and meeting. There is even an outside stage area. One is airconditioned and there chairs and tables for conference meetings. However, the building does not have WIFI at this point (will during high season). We encourage community and nonprofit groups to use the building depending upon the availability.
