Juanillo Beach access..?

I have heard GREAT things about Juanillo Beach, but I also hear it is "private" - or at least one has to go through security gates to get to the beach. Any tips on how to get to Juanillo Beach..?

You can enter Cap Cana if you say you're going to one of the restaurants. There is a beach bar/restaurant at Juanillo - say you're going there.

Take I.d. with you. They will ask for it at the security stop and then return it when you exit.

I enter and leave Cap Cana as I please or is there a separate access control for Juanillo Beach where they ask for ID?

I haven't been asked to leave ID in the last couple of years, they used to be stricter.

The security points are at the main entrance, or after the Ciudad Las Canas (and UNIBE and Heritage) area. Once you're in the Cap Cana complex, follow signs to Juanillo.
