Anybody know of a chiropodist or similar in the Las Terrenas area ?

They have been called pediotrists for a while now. I don't know of anyone specific. I would call a local clinic and ask for a recommendation. Dr.Polanco, Central Clinico, 809-240-6028. Buenos Suarte. I believe reception speaks English.

Is that anything like a "Podiatrist"?;)

The outer edge of the left foot has a growth of very hard skin which i cut off painlessly periodically, about one inch in from this is a circular patch of very hard skin a bit like a callous. Most of the time I wear flip_flops.

That sir is a bunyon and if it does not hurt and you do not wear closed shoes, i would not worry about it. While my sister is a Doctor in DR, i will caution you to go to one of the pretigious clinic to get anything done that will require surgery. No such thing as malpractice insurance in the DR.
