Internet Higuey?

Hi,

I found a house in Luisa Perla, Higuey.

Question: What Internet providers are available besides Claro and what max. velocity do they offer?

I know of Claro, orange, viva. Claro & orange theoretically 7m/bits, viva 3 m/bits.
Check on the Claro and orange webpage for 4g or LTE. This might give you 40 DL

Reason Number one we will move away after the school ends this year...

Claro is only able to provide 3 MB. I need more than that. Another, Bloom, which I use as a back up only has a maximum of 1.5.

Besides that Higuey is the noisiest place I ever encountered. Motor bikes everywhere, masses! And that living in one of the (supposed) best neighborhoods.

My advice to verybody who is thinking about to move to Higuey: Don't do it...

We will leave back to Bavaro or to the capital as soon as we can.

I've considered moving up to Cabarete because rentals are so inexpensive. But then I think it through, and there's probably a good reason rentals are so inexpensive (3br villas w/pool, jacuzzi, garage parking, and beach for ~$1000 USD/month).
