Living in SD and looking to spend 4 or 5 days at an AI in the Bavaro area in Nov. Anyone know if it's better to call the resorts directly or is there a secondary market or someone who can book at a good rate. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are a foreigner I would suggest booking with German tour operators (eigene anreise/nur hotel) you can start at www.weg.de, usually much lower prices than Expedia etc. You can also try cheapcaribbean.

Sometimes i find local travel agency is lower in prices. I always ask few places before I check web prices and most of the times prices is very good compared to big websites in US. Ask around few places and see if they have special in hotel you would like to visit but make sure you check internet prices too. Sometimes big sites have specials that is too good to be true.
