According to "reliable sources" a deal has been inked for the Bahia Principe Group to buy the property going down the beach road, in Lt, where the site of the old casino was. I don't recall this resorts name but there are a number of old cement buildings on the left, going down the road towards Hotel Aliesi. This was a former AI about 6 years ago. Bahia Principe is supposed to build a 4.5 star resort. If this comes to fruition is should have a very positive impact on other businesses and the employment situation in LT. Supposedly this is a done deal. More details as they evolve.

It may be. The property is diagnially across from the taxi stand on the beach road and currently has an old fence around it. Don't know exactly when construction will start.
