Beyond The Beach Children?s Foundation,
Fiesta Report for Sept 13, 2014

We have had some inquiries as to how all fared with our fund raising for 2014 BTBCF Dominican Fiesta. I am pleased to give you those totals?.

FIESTA INCOME
24 meals ???.. $ 628.98
Presidente Beer Raffle ??.. $ 120.00
Rum Raffle ??????? $ 90.00
Silent Auction items ???. $1,301.85
___________
Total $2,140.83

FIESTA EXPENSES
Charcoal & meal $ 172.89
____________

Cleared: $1,967.94

Expenses were low this year due to the generosity of Rod Gerro who donated the cost of the pig & the bbq spit.

One unfortunate bit of news that no one wants to hear ?.The monetary donations to our various Charities will be significantly lower in 2015 as we do not have the income from the ever popular Vacation Draw. Our Directors are working diligently with their ?Resort contacts? & brain-storming for other ideas to assist with increasing our income. Let us hope that something good comes out of all this for the betterment of the children.

Sincerely,

M. Ruth Ainsworth, Treasurer

The Directors held a meeting before the Fiesta where we did discuss upcoming contributions.

We do have a commitment to DREAM in Cabarete for a $2,000 university scholarship. We have also authorized another donation but, the recipient has not been notified so, I will not reveal this at the moment.

Now that we have a better idea of our balance, we will be making the decision of which other donations we can make. Photos of the donations will be taken and posted – possibly in February, 2015.

Will keep you posted!

We are hoping that we are able to find a hotel in the DR to sponsor our Vacation Draw for 2015 and be able to up our funding soon!! The loss of donation of a week AI for 2 people from the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana did affect our fundraising efforts quite a bit in 2014.
