Claro cell service not working?

Our Claro cell phones are not working in Bayahibe. Anyone know anything about the problem? Can't make calls, they do not go through. It has been this way since early afternoon at least. I don't see anything about a problem on their web site (not that I would expect this : )

Claro cell service wasn't working for me in Santiago most of the afternoon............
Also no service in Campo Villa Bao...........

In Punta Cana can receive calls, but when I wanted to dial one it would disconnect. But it is working now.

Exactly, recorded voice sayimg something about not being able to get through......
Funny thing is I couldnt get through to dr numbers, but got through to New york.......... go figure.

I was having problems too with my phone. Would try to make calls and it would immediately hang up without ringing. I was able to receive calls though.

It is working fine today. But, on a related topic, the voice mail service has been very bad lately. Much of the time it just says the service is not available now, try later. But I just try again and again and eventually it will connect. This happens often, not just the last week or so.
