Is anyone else having this issue? Mine is sub 1mbs down/up. At this rate, Morse code may be a viable alternative...

I had issues with them in the last days. But I am afraid this seems to be pretty normal here. :( I am in Higuey...

Ours started slowing down two days ago as well. At first it wasn't bad, but this morning is terrible.

half speed for me on the north coast.. today 10/30/2014.

Slow for me here in the East with Claro DSL. I generally have 5-6Mbps down with 1-1.5Mbps up. Right now I'm getting 1.5 down and .5 up.

I'm getting 6.5Mbps down and 1.0Mbps up on Claro 3G on my iPhone. That's pretty much the norm.

At DR1 offices in Santo Domingo, Claro was a nightmare. Then we got a wonderful call from them and they offered to install their optic fiber cable services. The cost was only RD$100 more than what we were already paying. Has made a big difference.
I believe we got a special deal because a fellow worker was being charged a difference of RD$1,000 to install it at her house.

I can confirm that in la Romana and in Zona Colonial CLARO is so slow that there should be a class action against them
