Demonstration ? ? ?

Got a notice from the U.S. Embassy to stay away from the area this morning because of a demonstration. Anyone know why?

In front of the new embassy, I assume. The time it mentioned is past now. No mention in news sources I get here in New England.

So, I never got a real reply to my original query. Did anyone hear anything about it?

I realize this is OLD news now but this is what the embassy email said.

"The U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo alerts U.S. citizens in the Dominican Republic that a demonstration is scheduled to take place outside the Embassy today at 9am. Please avoid the area around the Embassy if possible this morning."

It then went on to say what a wonderful job they were doing, watching out for us Americans.

We do a wonderful job of ****ing off people all over the world. It's kind of hard to keep track of all the affronts. Still curious about what we did to **** off the Dominicans.
