The Team have been asked to post this on behalf of AAAsosua.
One of the missions of AAASosua is to facilitate dog and cat adoptions. Its primary role is to spay/neuter animals in Sosua, Sosua Abajo, Charamicos and el Batey to humanely keep the animal population under control for the benefit of all, and to allow those with limited means to enjoy their pets.
Animals for adoption come to AAAS through many routes but AAAS is not a rescue organisation. There are many other organisations on the north coast undertaking animal rescue and these can be found at Facebook page : https://facebook.com/groups/718499478210126
A facebook page for all rescue groups to come together
Animals frequently are bought in for emergency medical treatments often after being run over but then left at AAASosua after the treatments is successful. Negrita is an example of this.
Sometimes people bring a dog in for a bath or parasite treatment and never come back.
Those of you who are looking for dogs to adopt AAASosua may have one for you. Our recent post on "Look at me Now" serves two purposes, one ,to let everyone know what great pets these dogs make at any age and two, they are certainly adaptable to the weather conditions
You need to keep believing that there are many dog lovers who actually will take action to help a dog by adopting them.
Judy Liggio , President AAASosua
Autumn
She was one of 5 that were abandon at AAAS HQ in February of 2014 and was later adopted. Her owner unfortunately passed away and she came back to AAAS HQ
She was not in very good condition and was quite skittish and confused upon her arrival but with a little medical assistance, some good meals and some fun play she is coming around just fine.
She has been sterilized by Dr. Frank and is ready for her new home.
If you are interested in seeing her contact us at info@aaasosua.com and find out which is the best time to come for a visit.
