There is immigration from PR to the DR.

But to use the term "massive" to describe the actual numbers is seriously misleading.

I was in Junior High School when the migration started from Puerto Rico to my home town in New York State. Nothing new to me, that is for sure.

What I see is that the Puerto Rican coming to the US are the young professionals, my wife have helped some of them to buy houses in the Raleigh NC Triangle area recently... Theses people are working in the medicine or technology industry, no in the landscape, construction or any other general labor - jobs,,, Some Americans in this camp are concern about the new competition.

In the other hand the ones moving to DR are the retired PR who are looking for a relaxing and inexpensive life as the man in the video stated.

US $ 1000. Dollars in DR is still good money!

It's so comforting the language patrol is up early today.
I am going to migrate to my terrace now and drink my coffee.

A person emigrates from their home country and immigrates into a new country. It implies an intention to stay.
