That was a fascinating thread to read. I was ready to hang the Canadian guy. And then his weird friend jumped onto dr1. What a trip.

Then it was a Dom couple who killed her. Why?

I do not know if the word fascinating is an accurate description of the original thread. I assume the police actually brought the guilty people to justice and it was not just pinning the offence onto someone they had been wanting to put away . If these two are truly guilty , I think many contributors owe apologies to the Canadian they were condemning on the first thread .

That's good.

However, I have not heard of anyone who had done 30 years in prison here.
There seems to be no statistics of prisoners and their respective jail time.

From what I hear and read, convicts usually leave the prison ahead of schedule.

As far as I'm concerned they can throw away the key and let them rot, but I was surprised they got the maximum sentence. They could have got a reduced sentence on the grounds that the death was unintentional as part of a bungled kidnapping.
