Are there any plans to offer https on DR1?

The current certificate is valid, appears to have been generated for software purposes and is not issued by a trusted CA.

At the very least the login screen could be encrypted so passwords need not be submitted in the clear.

The passwords are MD5-hashed before sending aka encrypted and "not in the clear".

I would not suggest to enable https:// becuase if someone posting an image, an warning message will show up becuase most of image host does not use SSL.

We will not be using https:// on the forums or site. As VJS pointed out, passwords are MD5 encrypted.

Yes, we use SSL for some stuff, but most users don''t touch those areas of the site.
