Accident in Las Terranes/Samana (Monte Plata)

Man dead as a result of guagua accident.

I have just overheard a conversation between two girls at my house saying that man by the name of Juan is dead as a result of an accident to the guagua fro Santo Domingo
this afternoon/evening, I know no more. Anybody know more because it is a service that I use far too often.

Most victims are said to be from Las Terrenas and El Lim?n.

Terrible news. Was on it's way to Las Terrenas I understand and after the peaje south of Monte Plata and in this section you have big long straights and loads of visibility.

This is a very sad day.
It is reported that 8 women, 4 men and one child lost their lives in this horrible accident.

Although I know that a 36-seater in this country can have a capacity of 50+, I also know that this company does not travel overloaded.
I have used this service several times and always saw a responsible driver at the wheel.
I really would like to know what caused this terrible accident....
