Heading for Bavaro Beach Resort from chilly Eastern Canada Feb 8-15. We have been there 3 times before and love it . We usually go in April so I am wondering if the weather will be cooler????

If you are from Canada, you will barely notice the difference. For Dominicans, February weather is cold! Dominicans leave the beaches to the foreigners in winter (January-February), when temperatures during the day may drop to a "chilly" 25 degrees Celsius.

Thanks Dolores, sounds great. One more thing . We are planning to bring a bottle of wine for one of the empoyees at the resort, do you see any problem with this??Thanks

No, no problem bringing the wine. If this person is a wine connoisseur, may I suggest you bring him some Canadian icewine.

wine is not the best gift in a beach town

Forget the bottle of wine. If this employee is an executive he wont need wine., there is a lot in the resort that he will be able to drink. but, if he is just a regular employee, he wont even like it. poor people here dont drink wine.
Think in something else that will be more welcome. ie. tennis shoes (they love american snickers), t,shirt, etc.

Thanks for advise John and Dolores : Its just that we were treated very well by one of the managers on the resort and when friends of ours visited the resort a month later, he had a lovely bottle of wine cooling for them in their room,also a lovely fruit basket. We just thought it would be nice to return the favor.
