Is there a form you can get from Dominican charities and non-profits for use for taxes back home? My uncle wants to make a $1000 donation to a hogar, but wants a tax receipt. Could it be sent to a local church then earmarked for the orphanage?

I can't speak for the U.S. but for Canada, no tax deduction for donations made to foreign charities unless you are also reporting foreign income from the same country where the donation was made.
