The US Peace Corps arrived in the Dominican Republic in 1962. Since then over 3,000 Americans have served as Peace Corps Volunteers in most of the villages, towns and cities of the nation.

This 15-18 February 2002 many former Volunteers and staff will hold a 40th Anniversary Conference and Reunion in the Melia Santo Domingo Hotel in the Capital. All people now living in the country who were part of this people-to-people organization are invited to attend. For information visit: http://www.drfriends.org.

Think about contributing an article and photos for a 40 year Peace Corps/DR history being compiled.
