Juancito Murdered in SD

Juancito, the owner of a string of sportsbooks and also was the Sindico in SD was murdered today. I believe 2 others were also killed.

What I understand from watching live reports is someone that previously worked for Juancito and knew him wanted to see him. They told him he will be there later. Somehow he got in Juancito's office and waited there. When Juancito went in his office the guy killed him. Shot frontal in the head.

The killer was called Luis Felix, a contractor who worked for Juancito Sport [which is both the name of his chain of bancas/betting shops and the mayor's nickname]. The killer burst into the offices wielding a weapon and fired three shots at [the mayor]. He then shot [the mayor's] bodyguard, Archie de Jesus Medina, before committing suicide. According to witnesses, the killer was trusted by the mayor of SD East and for this reason an in-depth investigation is being requested in order to establish the real reasons behind the crime.

Lots of people are complaining about the media publishing photos of the late mayor. I'm surprised - not at the publication of the photos, but at the outcry. E.g. Nuria Piera is being accused of double standards because she had criticised the publication of photos of her murdered colleague Claudio Nasco.

I heard that Juancito failed to pay the guy. Cannot confirm this though.

A contractor whose contract had been axed, or who was owed money, is what is being claimed.

Bad year for upset "contractors".

Wasn't there a contractor just a few months ago that had similar money problems and committed suicide?

I didn't really read that story, any connection to Juancito?
