I am looking into long term rental properties in El Cortecito/Bavaro. I have come across Sun Beach, Blue Garden, and El Dorado. I am looking to spend $500-$700 per month. I have heard El Dorado is not so great, but would anyone have any insight on the other properties? Any advice would be much appreciated.

DOn't know where Cortecito is, but why would anyone wish to pay thatmuch money for a rntal in this country? We looked at a very nice apartment in Luperon today for six thousand pesos a month!

Luperon is not Bavaro. Everything costs much in PC and Bavaro - over priced. El Cortecito is the heart of Bavaro jjj. Friusa has a sign that says it is the heart. Try White Sands. Or Cocotal. This is high season. Prices are higher and many things are already rented. Farther from beach is cheaper. You might try internet Supercasas Punta Cana to see more overpriced examples.

This is the East Coast Forum. If the OP was interested in Luperon this post would be in the North Coast Forum. :)

500-700 is about average for a nice 2-3 bedroom apartment in those areas. Check out Facebook, there are several pages where you'll find rental offers like Clasificados BAVARO Punta Cana and Punta Cana BAVARO Real Estate rentals.

It is a little expensive compared to other areas, but the beach is nice and I would like to be within walking distance. I will check out the link, as well as Facebook. Thank you for the advice.
