Those isolated tall buildings look very stupid to me. (Like silver sun gallery, torre Caney, the new buildings on Anacaona). But maybe 30 years from now Downtown SD will look like a real downtown.

They should build it in "La Habana de Cuba",....Not Here!!!!
The traffic on Lincoln is already a disaster!!!!

Ditto, specially since the area around Havana is earthquake free. I hate to think what will happen to all those tall buildings here when another major one gets to take place, like it did on the years 1842, 1946, and more recently, 2010.

The bottom floor will house the biggest Casino in the Country. Also there will be a large Sportsbook included, similar to the one in Punta Cana Hard Rock.

I do not expect it to take anywhere near four years either. Hoping for one and half years.

Starting construction next month.

Well, a 40 story building is going to take four years. I have worked on several dozen of them. From ground breaking to closing and being used will be 4 years minimum unless they know something builders in Miami don't.

Empire State Building was built in 13 months. They obviously knew something builders in Miami don't.

The shopping and commercial centre is now really and truly between Tiradentes and Churchill and between Kennedy and 27 Febreo and the traffic will only get worse..total nightmare . So glad this hotel is not in Zona Colonial or el Malecon In my opinion it makes zona colonial much more attractive..who would want to live in Naco or Piantini

Umm it won't be branded hard rock until it's built. But really it's moon palace. Hard rock will have a 25 year name lease or moon palace. Depending on how you look at it. You folks haven't noticed? The Mexicans have been coming.
Top closers. Talking 2% earn well over 200k. But don't apply most here are well baked and finished.

Yes, this hotel will be owned by Roberto Chapur Sr. A Mexican National that also owns the one in PC and several in Mexico. However there is no lease of any kind. It is a brand of the name Hard Rock, in which the Hard Rock gets a small percentage. It will be run by the Chapurs though, not Hard Rock. Basically a franchise deal.

All occupants will be relocated tooo the moon. As Gleason on the honeymooners said. If everyone flushes the toilets at the same time the explosion will be bigger than the Korean H-Bomb. Their are no treatment plants in santo domingo all waist goes into an underground septic tank. One day you will see all the Great Towers sinking into the **** below them.

Dont tell me it will not happen why do Dominicans tell you not to flush the paper down the looo paper in the **** will not compost like the real **** . So every one in Santo Domingo one day will be in BIG ****!

There was a 30+ story building built on Miami Beach which had a new system for sewage, and when finished the toilets pn the lower floors would bubble and belch when the toilets were flushed on the upper floors.

i gotta say that a torre in SD crumbling down and falling into a gian vat of crap makes for a great visual. but judging by the fact it has not happened before the chances of such event are rather slim.

MANY different thing would happen to the heads on a ship (You haven't seen nutting until you see a main cleanout If there is a serious clog they will connect the high pressure sea lines (3"-5") to the waste lines and go, I mean **** and everything else everywhere So comforting to be taking your good morning dump and something under you starts bubbling and talking to you

That is me. I worked on tall buildings in Miami for over 20 years. from the time they start to push around dirt, called the"coming out of the ground" phase which has one supervisor until they are on the first elevated slab is about one year. From there another supervisor takes over and it is a week per floor as they are poured, until the topping off. And from the last pour until finished out is another year. Yes I have often wondered why it wasn't faster because many times they sat on 10 per cent of my money until the closing, when the owner took charge of his building from the builder, but I say it will be 4 years for a building that size.
