If you are going to fly out NY or NJ to the DR leave today or you won't be going anywhere for a couple of days. Major storm to start tonight and lasting till early Sunday morning. That beach is starting to look better and better.

And flying in won't be fun either.

I remember this a few years ago.... no NYC/EWR flights into POP for 2 days.........or out of

Pretty lucky here. 1-3 inches, but 30 miles south 6-12 inches. Charter flight scheduled to leave saturday morning.
I guess if the plane comes in today not too many problems.

A long time female friend of mine says snow storms are like sex. You never know how many inches your going to get and how long it will last!

Two friends supposed to be flying out of POP today for Newark. Waiting to hear back from another friend taking them to airport to see
whether or not they make their flight.

Today shouldn't be a problem Cristo.... manana, maybe

I believe you are correct. I just spoke with my buddy who dropped them off at the airport in POP about one hour. As
far as they'd been told prior to customs, their flight is scheduled to depart for Newark without any delay.

Having been stung on this once....
all the way to POP to find out the flight never left EWR....

I always check the arriving flight info before heading to the airport.

Those NYC/EWR flights are down & back.
If it doesn't leave NYC - it ain't going back

My situation was a doozer....

POP - EWR but the return was MIA- POP, after a visit to FLA

But, the NYC - FDlorida leg was a different airline - therefore not in the Itinerary.
United cancelled that for me and forgave all costs..... all 3 legs.

There were no POP/NYC flights for 2 days that storm

I was only kidding with Steve. I actually enjoy the snow and the cold (at times). It's all good.

I'm very glad we're here, but at the same time very worried about our home in NJ. The flooding predictions are scary, I'm hearing "worst ever". Praying we don't end up with 3' of water in basement again.

Remembering another hyped storm, and we made it onto the last flight leaving Philly before they shut down for days. Feb 2003, last minute flight to SDQ for my father-in-laws funeral.

The major storm has turned into a blizzard. Anywhere from 8 inches to 2 feet of snow and winds of up to 60 miles per hour.

The supermarket parking lots were full as people were buying, stocking up on food in anticipation of the pending blizzard.

Email from airline said 3 hour delay Saturday morning because flight was delayed coming into my Airport. They lied.
The plane arrived on time, from PUJ, and it parked at the airport. Just say we are being cautious, want to make sure everyone can make it to Airport on time, etc.

At this time, looking at the security cameras, Baltimore has about 1" of snow so far......
