the entire north Atlantic family of whales mates and births here...
they come from Greenland, from Canada/./ from Norway
it takes them a month to swim
they will be here for three months
they mate here and give birth here
they do not eat while they are here as there is no food for them
there are now grandmothers who have been identified by the sorta thumbprint on their tails
the babies have to nurse and get strong enough to make the trip north
if you have not been on a trip to Samana to see them
well

ONLY HERE IN THE DOMINICAN WATERS
in SAMANA and the SILVER BANKS
they are singing the same song
