Trying to get the following site (Which used to work).

https://www.taxact.com/

I'm using Claro and I can no longer get the site.
Occasionally I get the "Introduction" page, but can not get pass that to the Login page, etc.

I keep getting:

Secure Connection Failed

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Trying to determine if it's a Claro problem, or all Dominican ISP's.
I want to get more details before calling the company again.

I have tried 5 different computers; running XP, Win7, Win8 and Win10; multiple browsers including Chrome, Win Explorer and Firefox, cleared cache; and also tried from different installations, all using Claro ISP. Only thing I can not test is a different ISP such as Orange or Tricom.

If someone with Orange or Tricom could test it, I would appreciate it
Must be an ISP that has a Dominican IP address please, as that is what I'm trying to determine, I know it still works from the U.S.

Thanks

I just logged in without any trouble. I have Claro DSL and am running a Win7 Professional laptop and using Chrome.

They have changed their password requirements, not sure if that is the issue.

Thanks to the two of you, this is confusing.

I even connected a different modem and still no luck.
Tried from a friends house on their computer and the same message.

Bienamor, are you located in Santiago?
I'm running out of reasons as to why I can not get the site.

Even my Tablet will not access the site, same message.
Connecting the other modem would eliminate the modem being the problem.
The tablet does not have antivirus like the desktop and 2 laptops, and even different anti-viruses on the 2 laptops.

9 out of 10 customers would recommend TaxAct.*

NOW, 5 minutes later, and I am getting the same dysfunctional message, I think it is extremely heavy traffic to the site that is causing your problem.........

Need to take a break from it for a while.

I get the 1st page occasionally, not often, but can never get pass that page.

Did you click on "Login"" to get the next page?

Now I am getting this...........

Secure Connection Failed

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

If it was me, I would search for another company with similar services and pricing.........

I called TaxAct and according to them, the Dominican Republic
has recently been put on the "DO NOT FLY LIST"

In other words, we can no longer access it here with a Dominican IP address.

La Profe_1, there are a few assigned Claro IP addresses (Seems to be on the North Coast only) that do not register as being in the D.R., I know this from past experiences. I have never acquired one myself but a friend did and he could get access to a site that I could not because my IP registered in the D.R and his did not.

I should specify, I use UnoTelly on Claro and access does NOT work. Using our USA dedicated server our company uses, I can access the website (I teamviewered into the server and opened up the browser there and accessed the website with no problems). You can also try GoldenFrog VPN, good service at reasonable price.

I just logged into my account at Taxact about five minutes ago. I do not have a Claro IP address that registers as the US. I am certain of that because my bank questioned a transaction I initiated last Friday and I had to call them to verify it. They picked up on the foreign IP address.

I did, however, activate ZenMate, a free extension on Chrome, before logging in. You could try using that.

I have Claro modem and I filed my taxes thru that site last week.
Der Fish
I don't know the date they restricted the Dominican Republic.
My previous (last) valid access to them was January 25th.

I have since been able to get to them using a VPN.
Tried the one La Profe_1 mentioned and it worked.
