    Default Santo Cerro La Vega.

    Santo Cerro, La vega... This Catholic church was built in the same place where the Spanish set up a big wooden cross in a promise not to continue killing our indigenous "Los Taninos"

    Enjoy!

    Villa Trina is a furniture gold mine. If you are looking for a custom order at a good price it is worth the trip. I noticed no one on the streets during the day. They were all working. I believe I even spotted some pine trees up on a hillside. Great view from the tower in the center of town, Bring a light jacket if going this time of year. Gets a bit chilly later in the day.

    JJ:

    Thanks for reminding me why I enjoy Moca so much.

    Sometimes the daily grind blinds one to the beauty that exists....if you only take the time to find/see it.

    The Church is even more beautiful on the inside;

    My MIL was from Villa Trina, it is a lovely place. When I visited I thought it would make a great spot for a retreat, or a convalescent home.

    Great to see a post from you Bachata! What is the best way to find the turn to the Vill Trina waterfall?

    My dads house is just a few blocks from the church. It looks so nice from above but crime is getting out of control.
